Young, Alexa

Alexa is Manager, Government Affairs and Head of Canadian Government Affairs at Teck. She engages with governments across Canada and abroad to advance policy and regulatory solutions in areas including environmental protection, trade and international affairs, transportation, finance and tax, Corporate Social Responsibility, Indigenous Affairs and skills training and employment. She is also leading the building of Teck’s Copper and Health Program. She is the Chair of the Business Council of BC’s Federal Engagement Task Force. Prior to joining Teck, Alexa was a public affairs consultant at National Public Relations and with Summa Strategies. Alexa holds a Masters of Science in Politics and Communications from the London School of Economics and Political Science, a Bachelors in Political Science from Queen’s and a Professional Specialization Certificate in Public Policy and Governance from the University of Victoria.
