Simon’s personal and professional interests are similar such that he loves being a part of a successful team. Professionally, that means working together to creatively solve complex questions and issues that may arise with his work in the insurance industry. Personally, that means working together to give yourself the best opportunity to succeed, whether that’s winning a hockey game or hitting fundraising targets. Simon is the creator of an endowment fund that has raised over $100,000 for an abused women’s shelter. He has also spent 4 years as Treasurer of a $10M community foundation, sits on another charitable Board and is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
