Blair is Director of Social Innovation at Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC), where he is responsible for policy development as well as outreach and engagement related to the Government of Canada’s commitment to develop a federal Social Innovation and Social Finance Strategy. He also helped to launch an Innovation Lab at ESDC that is prototyping and testing innovative solutions to policy, program and service delivery challenges across the Department’s portfolio, in collaboration with other public sector innovation labs. He was born and raised in Lethbridge and has previously worked in the Priorities and Planning Secretariat at the Privy Council Office as well as the corporate strategic policy group at the Department of Canadian Heritage.
