Laurie is Manager of Grievances for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local Union No. 955. In her role, Laurie provides research and directs the Union’s internal appeals process to ensure members receive fair and effective representation. Laurie holds a degree in Philosophy and Political Science from McMaster University and a master’s degree in Political Science from Dalhousie University. She has attained certification in project management as well as tribunal administrative justice. Throughout her career, Laurie has gained diverse experience working in government, non-profit and labour sectors as well as community involvement.
