Serving as Director Data Science, André Lapointe seeks to stimulate innovation based on digital intelligence to the benefit of human beings. An executive with more than 20 years’ experience in the IT field, including 10 years in applied research, he is also the recipient of several awards in the area of innovation. The digital divide is a key concern: he believes that narrowing this divide will enable Canada to speed its transition to a knowledge-based economy. Mr. Lapointe is the father of three children and is active in community work involving children up to age 5 in Montreal’s Villeray district.
