Yvette has been a Registered Nurse and Union activist for over 26 years and has spent most of her nursing career working in Critical Care. Yvette is now working in an Outpatient Cancer Care Program. Her union involvement has progressed from being a Shop Steward to Local President and now Provincial VP. Throughout her career, Yvette has lobbied for the rights of the public, patients and her nursing colleagues. She also volunteers within her Church and community. Yvette has served on school councils as both a parent and community representative, coached soccer, been a Girl Guide leader, and a volunteer with Allied Youth, 4-H and Roots of Empathy. She is the proud mother of four children aged 11, 16, 20 and 22, and resides with her partner in St. John’s.
