Coxon, Shawna

Shawna is in her 21st year with the Toronto Police Service. She is currently based in Strategy Management, where she is working on modernizing the Service. Her diverse career has included working in uniform, intelligence and investigative policing. She implemented the inaugural Computer Cyber Crime Team. With a BA in Psychology, an MA in Criminology and her PhD in Criminal Law, Shawna is a published academic who has lectured internationally. She has won numerous awards; however, the accolades she remains most proud of are the letters of appreciation from the communities she has helped improve and the victims she has worked diligently for.
