Mother to two young children, an avid sports enthusiast and T-ball coach, Taryn has held progressively senior marketing and communications roles across a broad range of industries including media, sport, tourism and energy. During her 16-year career, Taryn has marketed a major newspaper, supported the launch of a multi-million dollar capital campaign and rebranding of Canada’s premier winter Olympic sports organization, launched and published a tourism magazine, taught English abroad and provided strategic communications counsel for energy companies. Originally from Medicine Hat, she currently leads the development of enterprise-wide communications strategies to support corporate growth and employee engagement for ATCO, while serving as a steward of its reputation and coordinator of crisis communications. She holds a Bachelor of Management degree from the University of Lethbridge and has obtained her Project Management Professional certification.
