Baker, Brad

Brad is a member of the Squamish Nation and has a deep passion for bringing the history of Aboriginal peoples to the classroom and to the community. He strongly believes that the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action will help guide Canada in the next 150 years. Brad has had the opportunity to present and share his beliefs on Aboriginal education with educators from across Canada and the United States. Brad was the recipient of the national Indspire Guiding the Journey Indigenous Educator Award in Leadership in 2014. Brad believes that conversation on the tough topics of Aboriginal education will lead to reconciliation.
