Cole is an environmental consultant and post-doctoral fellow at Memorial University. Her work focuses upon the environmental assessments of contentious resource developments. Current and on-going projects include examining the governance challenges related to the Muskrat Falls Hydro-Electric project, assisting indigenous communities with assessments in the Ring of Fire, considering cumulative effects in Wood Buffalo National Park, and examining corruption in the Ontario mining sector. She has a PhD from the University of Waterloo. Cole has been Chair of the St. Mary’s Public Library Board since 2015 and is a member of the Ontario Association for Impact Assessment board.
