West, Jamie

Jamie is the President of the Sudbury and District Labour Council and a proud member of United Steelworkers Local 6500. Jamie is very passionate about health and safety. As a Steelworker, Jamie is the Worker Safety Rep at a mining smelter in Sudbury, and Co-Chair of Operations for their SHE Executive Committee (Ontario Division). He also teaches Health and Safety at Laurentian University. As well, Jamie volunteers on several boards and committees in his community, including the United Way, the Occupational Health Clinics for Ontario Workers and the Centre for Research in Occupational Safety and Health. Jamie and his amazing wife have three children.
