Focusing on tourism, community economic development and business, Kristy has worked at the senior management level in the Inuit self-government, the Nunatsiavut Government of northern Labrador, for ten years. Kristy serves as a board member of the Labrador Inuit Capital Strategy Trust, the business development entity of the Nunatsiavut Government. Kristy has a BA in Sociology from Acadia and an MA in Tourism Management from Royal Roads University. Born and raised in Rigolet, Kristy is proud to be able to positively contribute to her home town and region. Positioning herself in Rigolet affords the opportunity to raise her children in a close knit Aboriginal community that provides a strong background in which to confidently explore the world while appreciating the unique opportunities of remote living.
