Fernandez, Darran

Darran has been a higher education professional for over a decade. He holds an MEd in student affairs and institutional policy from UBC, where his research was focused on access to education for students, which still grounds his work today. He is a former political staffer in Canada and the UK and when not working or hanging out with his dog, he can be found volunteering with programs that support youth development and social engagement, on a field playing ultimate frisbee or curling at a local rink. Darran is a believer in making mistakes and thinks that maintaining the status quo ultimately leads to regression.
