Patrick is currently the Director General for the Review of Laws and Policies Secretariat at Justice Canada, where he is accountable for leading the Department’s review of laws and policies to ensure that the Crown is fulfilling its constitutional and international human rights obligations, including Aboriginal and treaty rights, and in support of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General’s mandate commitment to advance reconciliation and achieve a renewed nation-to-nation relationship with Indigenous peoples. He is a dedicated and passionate public servant, a recipient of the Public Service Award of Excellence, and a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal. He is a member of the Board of Directors at Desjardins, a volunteer with various local community organizations and a father of two wonderful children.
