In order to begin the application for the 2026 Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference, you must first review and accept the terms and conditions set out below. The deadline to submit an application is September 30, 2025.

1. TERMS AND CONDITIONS

I am a citizen of Canada.

I speak English and/or French fluently, as these are the languages of the Conference.

I have a sponsoring organization or I am self-sponsored.

I understand that my sponsoring organization may pay for my travel to the Opening Plenary in Montréal (Québec) and home from the Closing Plenary in Ottawa (Ontario). In the absence of a sponsoring organization, I understand that I am personally responsible for my transportation (while the GGCLC will cover all travel, meals and accommodation during the 15 days of the Conference itself).

I understand that the GGCLC program is intense and demanding, and will require my full-time participation.

I understand that the meetings and discussions over the period of the Conference are privileged and in-camera. As a result, I understand that I cannot use social media to report on any meetings and discussions in which I will participate.

I understand that, should I withdraw myself as a participant within two weeks of the Conference opening, that I may be liable to pay a financial penalty if my position cannot be filled by another individual.
